There are several pillars of being #MotoFit but none of them will prove to be more useful in your daily life and in tight situations on two wheels than strength.

Intro to MotoStrong is a 4-week beginner friendly strength training program for women who ride that will allow you to dip your toes into what it means to train to be MotoFIT and not only become a better, stronger rider, but a more awesome, confident version of yourself.

You'll learn how to safely and progressively get stronger without spending hours in the gym.

MotoCore

FOUR SIGNS YOU NEED MORE CORE STRENGTH:

  1. Your lower back gets fatigued quickly or gets tight and cranky while riding

  2. You have nagging lower back, hip and/or knee pain

  3. Your hips and/or hamstrings always feel tight, no matter how much you stretch them

  4. You feel like you have poor balance

I know you end your rides grabbing your lower back, and bending over to touch your toes to stretch your hamstrings because they just won’t loosen up.

You just take it as something that comes with the territory, right?

The unlikely fix? A core of steel. I’m not just talking abs though. I’m talking real life strength. Training your core to resist movement, aka stabilize.

A strong core is going to support you picking up your bike no matter how many times you fall, better protect you from inurty, give you the stability and body control to corner, counterbalance, stand on your pegs for long periods of time and feel your best riding.

This 4 week DIY core training program teaches you the ins and outs of strengthening your core in a way that translates to two wheels. Not only will you build TRUE 360 degree core strength for riding, but you’ll start ending your rides with less fatigue, aches and pain.

MotoCore shows you exercises that force you to RESIST movement rather than create it – as well as specific upper and lower body movements that will make your core work double time.

This is a downloadable DIY/self-guided program. Equipment needed: dumbbells and a resistance band.

Coaching

Liz2.jpg

You don't see the point in hiring a personal coach.

You're fine scrolling Pinterest for workouts or hitting up your local circuit class, and as long as the workouts feel hard and make you sweat, that's all that matters, right?

But hundreds of dollars and a lot of frustration later, your legs still burn after a couple whoop sections, your hamstrings always feel tight no matter how much you stretch, your knee hurts when you lunge, and you still don't feel confident in your body.

I know taking the leap to hire a coach to take the reigns feels huge and scary, and makes you want to vomit with nerves because you're like "This sounds cool, but what if it doesn't work?"

But here's the deal when we work together - not only do you get fully customized workouts written by a strength and conditioning coach with a decade of experience, but that are actually designed for YOUR body, equipment access, time constraints and to get you safely strong AF on two wheels.

See, I don't just consider myself your coach, I'm your ride or die. I'm dedicated to putting you in the absolute best position to be successful and I WANT you to become a more capable, and conditioned rider. So you'll get around the clock access to me via text, unlimited e-mail support, form checks, weekly check ins and accountability chats.

If you:

  • Thrive with accountability and are looking for a space and coach who sees you as a whole human - a human with feelings and roadblocks and a life that sometimes gets a little well, lifey

  • Want a moto-fitness training program that truly meets you where you’re at and teaches you how to navigate the ups and downs of your life and schedule so you can stay consistent

  • Are totally ready to stop wasting money, time and energy on workouts that aren't translating to your riding

About Erika

Hi, I'm Erika! The most important thing you should know about me is that I believe burritos are the perfect mid-ride snack. (and honestly just the most perfect food in general).

When I was a freshman in HS I tried out for cheerleading after seeing Bring It On (don't judge me), even though I’m not at all cheery, loud OR into non-motor sports. I broke my ankle at a game a few months later and that was the extent of my youth athleticism. (My love for late 90s teen movies is still going strong though).

18+ years later..I own a gym (StrongHER Fitness in Wallingford, CT) and I’m a strength and conditioning and nutrition coach. But what I really do is help women build healthier relationships with food and their bodies while reaching their fitness goals.

Through my own journey of recovering from YEARS of crash dieting, using exercise as a punishment and letting my happiness hinge on a scale number, I've become super passionate about teaching women that shame, restriction, and obsession have ZERO place in a truly healthy lifestyle and that getting stronger will bring to life an indescribable power inside of them.

A few years ago I decided to combine that love for coaching women with my love for all things moto. I brewed up Gnarly Babes Fitness to help women who ride train to feel more confident on two wheels through 1:1 online coaching and DIY programs.

I'm stoked that you're here and can't wait to get MotoFit with you. xo

"I wouldn't have been able to pack on as many miles riding this summer if it weren't for...and Erika's killer fitness training. I've seen firsthand how a stronger core and back make long rides less painful and how eating good food, resting, and being kind to your body make it even more enjoyable."
